The Vortex Strikefire II red dot site, comes with flip caps that flip open and closed easily and stay in place well, too. The fully, multi coated lenses, provide a very clean and bright, un-obscured field of view. The Strikefire II has a durable, aluminum construction that is also waterproof and fog proof, as well.
It comes with an offset candle leaver mode, that scoots the Strikefire II forward, to be used in conjunction with a magnifier, and backup iron sites, all on the same rail. The turrets are located on the top and side of the Strikefire II, and are designed to move the bullet’s point of impact, and left and right. The turrets are also guarded by the small shields on the side, that protect the turrets from impact.
With aesthetics and functionality in mind, the power controls are at the rear of the Vortex Strikefire II. With only 2 buttons, operation of the Vortex Strikefire II is pretty simple. Just press the up button to turn it on. The up and down controls the intensity of the dot. With the red/green version only, holding the down button switches you between red and green dots. To turn the Vortex Strikefire II off, simply press and hold the up button for about 4 seconds, and it will power down.
